The Spice Girls Are Apparently Making A Cartoon Superhero Movie And We're Ready For It

When the Spice Girls met up a several weeks ago, we all lost our collective minds. There was no patience involved, because we all knew that if they were all hanging out, something big must have been happening and we were 100% here for it.

Well, we've had our hearts broken by Posh Spice herself when she told us that we weren't going to see a Spice Girls reunion tour, insisting that we had all gotten way too far ahead of ourselves.

But she did seem to know that there would be something coming. “There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming.”

But Mel B. refused to let us cry...

But just as Victoria was knocking us down, Mel B. was picking us back up again, giving us all kinds of false hopes. When she was on the talk show The Real, she revealed that she was going to the royal wedding, and even hinted that there might be a performance.

Granted it was all in the context of conversation, she was dodging questions as best she could but if her nodding can be taken seriously, then maybe there will be a performance.

But one performance isn't really enough right? Especially because none of us regular folks will be attending Prince Harry's wedding now will we.

But now the new rumor has taken a step away from the stage, and instead towards a more animated approach...

Now, instead of a tour, Variety is reporting that the Spice Girls are making an animated movie together! Not only will they be animated, but they will be super heroes!

Is this the return of the Spice Force Five from Spice World? I sure hope so. That part was always my favorite.

Sources say "all five members of the group have signed off on their likenesses being used for a superhero-themed movie working off of the “girl power” message."

Every Spice Girl will voice her own character, and they will be keeping the animated version to their personality.

I wonder if they will go for the same style as the "Viva Forever" music video, because honestly those ones kind of creeped me out a little bit.

They haven't found a studio yet, but they are "fired up" about it. The source said, “The Spice Girls are thinking big in terms of a franchise on a global scale. They’re the most successful girl group on the planet. It’s just what Marvel or Disney needs.”
