7 Jackie Chan Movies That Every '90s Kid Needs To Watch
With Jackie Chan's latest flick out in theaters, we decided to take a look at our favorite martial arts master-of-the-movies and the classic films he starred in oh-so-many years ago.
Drunken Master II (1994)
This reboot from Chan's earlier film from 1978 has been hailed as one of his best works, and is in the "top 100 best films of all time" list from Time magazine. The story follows a young martial artist balancing the peaceful nature of his father with his duty to act against foreign thieves. As per usual, there is a lot of fighting and Jackie keeps us glued to the screen throughout this emotional roller-coaster.
Police Story 4: First Strike (1996)
In this addition to Jackie's Police Story series, our star plays Inspector Chan Ka Kui, who is tasked with stopping an international spy ring from smuggling nuclear warheads. As he travels all over the globe, he learns about the true meaning of betrayal and loyalty in an action-packed ending.
Rumble In The Bronx (1995)
In another showdown on American soil, Jackie's character visits his uncle in New York City, only to find himself forced into a fight with the mob and other organized crime syndicates. The movie deals with many common elements of the classic NYC street gang wars, but it is also notable for launching Jackie Chan into North American mainstream media.
Rush Hour (1998)
Even if you aren't a die-hard fan of Jackie Chan, chances are you know the hilarious and action-packed origin of the Rush Hour series. When a diplomats daughter has been kidnapped, the FBI decide to stick Detective Lee (Jackie Chan) with the LAPD to avoid him getting into trouble. This lands him with James Carter (Chris Tucker), who is the comic opposite to Chan's stoic character. Together, they use their skills to track down and save the diplomats daughter, forming an iconic duo along the way.

Who Am I? (1998)
In a grim tale that sounds a lot like the plot of Jason Bourne, Jackie Chan plays a secret forces militant whose job is to ambush and kidnap three scientists believed to be working with a dangerous mineral extracted from a meteorite. When the mission goes wrong, he crashes in the South African jungle with no memory of his past, and so goes by the moniker 'Who Am I' as he rediscovers his identity and his mission.
Operation Condor (1991)
In one of the older movies that he both wrote, directed, and starred in, Jackie Chan plays 'Agent Jackie', or code-name 'Condor'. The sequel in the Armour of God series, the story revolves around Agent Jackie and three bumbling women who are after a trove of Nazi gold hidden in the Sahara. Here we see a mix of Jackie's quirky humor and some rarely seen sensuality in the now-63 year old actor.
Mr. Nice Guy (1997)
In his classic style, Jackie Chan finds himself part of a crime bust gone awry. Forced to go on the run from a gang with a news reporter who knows too much, he fights off their attacks while realizing there's a difference between being nice and being a good man.
