Spice Girls To Reunite For Massive Payout, But Only After Agreeing To Posh's One Condition

Billboard

Since their last appearance together at the 2012 London Olympics, fans of the Spice Girls have been eagerly awaiting another reunion.

Rumors have been swirling around for the past couple of years that the girl group would eventually reunite, and according to The Sun, that time has finally come.

In a deal brokered by Simon Fuller, the Spice Girl's former manager, Geri Horner, Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton are set come together for a payout of £10 million (about $14.2 million US) each.

But this won't be a one-time event. The Spice Girls are rumored to be considering several new gigs, including TV projects in China, a televised talent show, endorsement deals and a compilation album filled with their greatest hits.

However, a source close to the group said while there will be several new projects, fans shouldn't get their hopes up for a world tour.

"Victoria and Geri agreed it would be impossible to be part of a fully-fledged tour because of family and business commitments," the source said.

While all the former members said they would return, it has been revealed Beckham would only come back on one condition.

Since the Spice Girls's disbandment in 2000, all of the members went off to pursue other endeavors to various degrees of success.

The most notable would be Posh Spice, who went to open her own fashion empire.

But because of Beckham's accomplishments following the group's split, she was reluctant to return to her roots based on how it could potentially impact her brand.

"Now that she’s a top designer Victoria is concerned about singing but she wants to make money to pump back into her business," the source told The Sun.

However, Victoria was was eventually swayed back into the fold when head honchos accepted her one condition: she wouldn't have to sing.

"This is the pop reunion no one thought would ever happen again," the source said. "But after a long period of negotiation Victoria agreed the time is right  to work on new projects this year"

"It's very exciting because she has always been adamant she wouldn’t go back," they added.
