Macaulay Culkin Debunks 'Home Alone' Fan Theories, Discusses Its Biggest Plot Hole

Once known as one of the most popular child stars, the now reclusive Macaulay Culkin is slowly resurfacing back into the limelight.

In January, the Richie Rich actor hosted a candid Reddit AMA session, where he announced his newest project, a podcast called Bunny Ears, and discussed his "drug addiction" and friendship with the late Michael Jackson.

Last Sunday, he live tweeted the Oscars, without even watching the awards show, and blessed fans with a series of facetious comments.

On March 3, Culkin made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he responded to fan conspiracy theories about Home Alone, and the major plot hole in the beloved film.

The premise of Home Alone center's around eight-year-old Kevin McAllister, who was accidentally left home alone as his family embark on a Christmas vacation to Paris.

Left by himself, the youngster is forced to fight off two dopey burglars who try to rob his house.

Now, despite the hijinks and hilarity of the pranks that unfolded throughout the movie, Culkin said the entire fiasco could have been avoided if Kevin just picked up the phone and called for help!

“This kid’s a really clever kid, right?” Culkin told Fallon.

“Like, these guys are about to break in, why doesn’t he just call the cops?" Culkin said. “He makes a master plan, he uses Micro Machines but for real, there’s landlines — there are no cellphones but still [he could have called the police]."

“I think that’s the only thing and I think that’s an enormous plot hole,” he concluded.

He also addressed two widely popular fan theories about Home Alone, including Kevin growing up to become the infamous Jigsaw from the Saw franchise, and that the late Elvis Presley made a cameo appearance during the film's airport scene.

He also addressed the frequent reports of his death, and said, "Now I can set my watch to it. It happens at least one or twice a year... I don't know, people want to kill me!"
