October is here, which means we are officially in Halloween season! And you know what that means, it's time to re-watch all spooky favorites. Bu tall of us 90s kids know that Hocus Pocus is the best of the best.
Watching the Sanderson sisters be revived after all those years away was an annual tradition, and it made us all wonder if we would be as brave as Dani and Max were.
It honestly doesn't matter how many times we watch it, it's always just as good as the first time. I can never chose which character is my favorite, because they are literally all so good. Whether you loved Thackery the cat, Billy the zombie, or the witches themselves, there are so many good characters to make this movie a classic.
It has been 25 years since Hocus Pocus came out, and they are going to celebrate it in a big way. The celebration will take place on October 20th, and they've got a lot in store.
Freeform will be hosting the TV special that will include interviews with Sarah Jessica Parker, AKA Sarah Sanderson, Kathy Najimy, AKA Mary Sanderson, and while Bette Midler isn't confirmed yet, they have said that there are some "special surprise guests" who will be making appearances as well.
I mean, it wouldn't really be a reunion without her, so let's all hope that she shows up.
That's not all though, they are planing on catching up with both Max and Dani Denison, with both Omri Katz and Thora Birch coming in to face the Sanderson sisters again, and none other than Doug Jones, the one and only Billy Butcherson, will be back to discuss his iconic role.
It's not just the stars of the movie we will get to see, the director, choreographer, and composer will also be joining in with the fun to discuss how they worked together to make the most perfect Halloween movie ever.
They've also got a bunch of musical performances lined up, as well as a costume contest for people who attend the event when it films in Los Angeles on October 2nd. If you happen to be in LA, you can join the wait list here.
But as for the rest of us who can't make it out to the live show, they will be airing the event on October 20th starting at 8:15 pm.
Along with the interviews and special guests, the movie will be aired with some pop-up trivia, quotes, and commentary from the cast and crew, so even if you've seen it a million times you'll likely learn something new!
I don't know about you, but there's nothing that gets me more excited for Halloween than Hocus Pocus!
