15 Movies You Remember Like It Was Yesterday, Except They're Actually Turning 20

Let's face it folks: we're getting old. Our memories aren't what they used to be, we're tired all the time, parts of our bodies just stop working for no reason, and most of all, kids are constantly on our lawns.

Most of all though, media that we loved in our younger days is now getting so old as to be considered "classic." Don't believe me? Take a look at some of the movies that are turning 20 in 2018.

The Parent Trap

That's right, this movie about Lindsay Lohan playing both herself and her twin sister is almost old enough to drink. Did you know this was actually a remake?

Armageddon

I'm not sure what's actually stayed popular longer; this movie, or the Aerosmith soundtrack that accompanied it.

Mulan

With both its anniversary and a live-action remake on the horizon, now's the perfect time to revisit this absolutely fantastic animated epic (and to get down to business, to defeat the Huns).

The Mask of Zorro

A comedian I saw once referred to this movie as "two hours of foreplay in movie form," and honestly we're pretty inclined to agree.

Shakespeare In Love

Has anyone actually watched this movie since it won Best Picture? Yeah, me neither.

A Bug's Life

Pixar's awesome follow-up to their breakthrough hit with Toy Story, this movie is still a lot of fun to watch thanks to its fun characters and great humor.

Blade

Wesley Snipes was already a total badass, but he solidified that reputation when he starred as the titular half-vampire in the first of three pretty awesome action movies.

Feeling old yet? Wait 'til you see the rest of the list...

You've Got Mail

Man, even the title of this movie is outdated at this point. Who's even heard AOL say "you've got mail" in the last decade?

The Man In The Iron Mask

Easily the best movie about the Musketeers ever, this has Leo Dicaprio at peak teen heartthrob and awesome performances by Jeremy Irons and company. Definitely check this one out.

Babe: Pig In The City

Did you know that this was directed by George Miller, the guy who gave us the Mad Max franchise? I mean, he also gave us Happy Feet, so I guess it KINDA makes sense?

The Big Lebowski

The Dude has been abiding for 20 years now, and his misadventures in trying to get compensated for his ruined rug (that really tied the room together) are still as funny now as they were in 1998.

The Prince of Egypt

Forget The Ten Commandments, this is the definitive take on the Exodus story, thanks to its gorgeous visuals, amazing music, and impressive performances by a massive cast of celebrities.

Patch Adams

It's Robin Williams at some of his most "Robin Williams"-esque. What's not to love?

Halloweentown

No Halloween is complete without watching this Disney classic, and it's hard to believe it's been entertaining us for nearly 20 years!

Spice World

The ultimate throwback to the 90s, back when pop stars got movie deals left, right and center. This one's still a lot of fun today!

Which of these movies do you remember seeing when they came out?

25 Years After Leaving Bayside High, Here's What The Cast of "Saved By The Bell" Are Up To Now

AOL TV named Saved By The Bell one of the "20 Best School Shows of all Time," and I'm sure everyone who's reading this article can agree with that sentiment. The American TV sitcom aired from 1989 to 1993, but has recently been classified as "educational and informational." That's cool and all, but it was also super-duper funny. It was one of the shows we looked forward to the most in the early '90s, and it helped launch the careers of some of these teen actors. What Kind Of Excellent Adventure Has Alex Winter Been On Since We Saw Him Last?

After starring in a few of the biggest movies of the the late 80s and early 90s, Alex Winter seemed to vanish from the big screen. The Lost Boys came out in 1987, and it was absolutely amazing. Just two years later he returned in the comedy classic Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, where he was playing Bill S. Preston Esq., and going on the trip of a lifetime. Warner Bros.
