10 Forgotten Cereals of the 80s and 90s

Anyone who grew up in the 80s and 90s definitely remembers sugary cereal. Between the colorful mascots and our need for constant, sugar-fueled adrenaline, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't inhale at least a few boxes of some of this stuff in their lifetime.

While a bunch of the old mainstays like Froot Loops and Cap'n Crunch are still around, lots of amazing sugary delights weren't lucky enough to survive the passage of time. See if you remember any of these!

1. Nintendo Cereal System

The 80s and 90s were prime times to advertise through cereal, and Nintendo got in on the action by throwing both Mario and Zelda into one awesome box. Can anyone tell me how "Berry" doesn't also count as "Fruity?"

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cereal

It tasted like sugar, came with trading cards, and turned your milk green. What else could you possibly want?

3. Pac-Man Cereal

Even Pac-Man got in on the action! We could gobble up power pellets just like he did, only ours didn't let us eat ghosts.

4. Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters Cereal

Now you too could catch and trap ghosts... in your BELLY! Plus, you might win that college scholarship and become a theoretical nuclear physicist yourself!

5. Mr. T Cereal

I PITY THE FOOL WHO DOESN'T GET THEIR B-VITAMINS AND IRON

6. E.T. Cereal

Those little bits of chocolate and peanut butter could give you all the energy you needed to phone home. Also, 15ยข coupon?! What a deal!

7. C3POs

The odds of successfully finishing a box of this were approximately 3,720 to 1.

8. Gremlins Cereal

Because there's nothing like creatures that turn into horrible monsters if you feed them after midnight to advertise a tasty cereal. At least there were no horrible transformations from eating this... that we know of.

9. Bill and Ted's Excellent Cereal

A most awesome breakfast adventure from the most awesome time-traveling garage rockers! Time-traveling phone booth not included.

10. WWF Superstars Cereal

I'm still amazed that this one hasn't made a comeback. Who wouldn't want to buy cereal with someone like John Cena or The Rock on it?

Did you have a favorite cereal that isn't around anymore? Maybe you remember some of the awesome snacks that were out at the same time!
