Whoopi Goldberg Reveals The Plan For The Next 'Sister Act' Movie And She's Not Happy

Good Morning Britain / Buena Vista Pictures

Whoopi Goldberg is a comedy legend. She's been around for decades now, and so many of her movies have been such huge hits that honestly, our world wouldn't be the same without her.

One of her most famous roles was in Sister Act, a bizarre comedy movie about a woman who is placed into witness protection in a convent while the police investigate her dangerous boyfriend.

Deloris has a hard time adjusting to life as a nun, but with the help of her new friends, she manages to find a way to make it through.

They made a sequel called Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit that shows us what happened to Deloris after making it big.

She has to help the nuns keep a school open by stepping in as the new music teacher. By turning the class into a choir, she's able to get the students to win a major competition and keep the school open.

The sequel came out in 1993, making it 25 years old this year. Hard to believe it has been that long since we saw Deloris, but it's not because Goldberg hasn't been trying.

The comedian just told Good Morning Britain that she has actually been working really hard at making another sequel, but it's not really going as well as she had hoped.

"We’ve been all over Disney begging," Goldeberg revealed. "They’ve decided that they’re going to go in a different direction with Sister Act."

She sounded disappointed as she continued, "So it won’t be Sister Act 3 it will be a brand new rendition of Sister Act, and I guess I’ll walk through a scene and that’s how they’ll say I was part of it.”

While this may disappoint some fans who would rather see what Deloris is up to 25 years later, we will just have to be satisfied with her comedy tours.

She's about to head to England to do a few shows, but she did answer a few fan questions. When asked how she stays so "chill" all the time, she revealed her secret.

"To me, there's no point in flipping out. Flipping out takes a lot of time, because then you have to calm down, and then you have to get to the chill place, so lets start at the chill place, do what you have to do, say what you have to say, and move on and keep on going."

While Goldberg is known to stay chill, she does seem a little bit annoyed that she won't have a bigger part in Sister Act 3, and honestly, I don't blame her. What's the point of Sister Act without Deloris?
