The First Official Photos Of 'The Conners' Are Here To Get Us Ready For The Premiere

ABC

It's been quite the summer for the Conner family, and starting on Tuesday, October 16th, we will be able to see just how they have handled it.

After the sudden cancellation of Roseanne following Roseanne Barr's racist comments, the network was forced to figure out a way to bring back the rest of the cast without the controversial star.

They made a deal with Roseanne Barr, purchasing the rights of her characters so they could create a new show called The Conners that would explore how the family would move on after the matriarch was no longer around.

We learned just last month that Barr's character would be dead in the new show when John Goodman revealed what was in store for Dan.

"I guess he'll be mopey and sad because his wife's dead," Goodman said in an interview with The Sunday Times.

He was supportive of his former co-star and TV-wife, saying that he appreciated how she was willing to sign over the rights.

“She had to sign a paper saying that she relinquished all her rights to the show so that we could go on," he shared. "I sent her an email and thanked her for that. I did not hear anything back, but she was going through hell at the time. And she’s still going through hell.”

But he's gone back to work now, and the network has released images of the first episode that will be called "Keep On Truckin'."

We also get to see Jackie who is back as well.

And we get to see the family looking a little concerned, which is understandable given what they are going through.
