'The Conners' Finally Share A Promo Video That Actually Shows Us "What's Next"

As we near the premiere of The Conners, we've all assumed that they would have given us a lot of sneak peeks to try and get us excited.

The network is obviously going to have a lot of former fans upset that Roseanne Barr will not be returning, but they also will have many people satisfied with their choice to continue without her, so it would make sense that they'd want to get people on board early on.

But instead the network has kept everything really quiet, with clips so short they cut off before someone gets to say a single word.

No matter which side of the argument you're on, the fact that they're teasing us like this has been a bit annoying, but now we've finally gotten our first look at the new series.

A short promo has been released to get us all ready to watch the premiere on October 16th. It starts by showing the iconic Conner house, hinting that "there's one thing on everyone's mind."

It then flashes to Jackie, standing in the middle of the kitchen with everything torn apart. She says, "There's no place for the corn holders."

Clearly she looks like she is handling the loss of Roseanne poorly, but Darlene seems to notice that.

It then shows a few other clips of the show very quickly, probably so they don't give too much away.

Then it reiterates the tagline from the previous advertisements, "What's next for the Conners?" before showing them at the dinner table, at church, and of course on the iconic sofa.

Jackie and Darlene then decide to talk about the holiday season, presumably because they will have to take over as the organizers.

"I thought we should talk about a game plan for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas."

Darlene is ready though, saying, "I say we follow the Conner tradition. Spend every dime on Halloween and then we have nothing to be thankful for or buy gifts with!"

So it seems like while Roseanne will no longer be with Dan and their children, they are carrying on her traditions.

Whether you like it or not, The Conners will be premiering on October 16th at 8 p.m. EST.
