A TGIF Reunion Happened And We Didn't Know How Much We Needed It

ABC

Who else spent every Friday night watching the best block of television ever? After a long week at school, you wanted to kick back and visit with the Tanners, the Winslows, or the Matthews family, and so that's what we did.

Sure, Saturday mornings were for cartoons, but Friday nights were sitcom heaven. You had Boy Meets World, Family Matters, Perfect Strangers, and Full House, and paired with a big bowl of ice cream or chips, you were ready to launch yourself into the weekend right.

ABC's TGIF programming was iconic. It was everything we wanted it to be and more. Somehow every show they set up there was perfectly tailored to our interests, and even as time went on and the shows evolved or switched up, there were still a lot of great options.

Well, now ABC is trying to make TGIF happen all over again, but they've done something pretty great to get us ready for it.

To help teach the next generation of TGIF stars, some of the former stars came back to teach the new class a thing or two about the best way to be a Friday night icon.

All your favorites were there teaching the new stars what it takes to make their shows iconic. They had Danielle Fishel (Topanga), Reginal VelJohnson (Carl Winslow), Bronson Pinchot (Balki) and Mark Linn-Baker (Larry) join forces to make sure that everyone was on the same page.

ABC

The 90s stars were introduced to Fresh Off The Boat actors Constance Wu and Randall Park, and Speechless stars John Ross Bowie and Cedric Yarbrough, and they were quick to give them a lesson in TGIF 101.

While the full promo isn't out yet, we did get a few sneak peeks from the network, and the pictures are giving us some serious flashbacks.

We've got the old-school "Dance of Joy" back.

They've obviously got to pass on the emotional moments.

They shared their wisdom with the class.

They sung a song together.

And they showed off just how strong their friendships are.
