10 Pictures Of Your Favorite Musicians From The '90s to Now

It's hard to believe the 90s were almost 30 years ago, but it's even harder when you realize your favorite musicians have been around for just as long. From pop to rap to rock, these artists have been in the spotlight since the beginning of their glory days.

Here are 10 of your most beloved musicians from the 90s to now.

1. Ice-T

935kday / NBC

Born Tracey Marrow, Ice-T has come a long way from his gangsta days. He had the first hip-hop album to carry an explicit content sticker. He also co-founded the heavy metal band, Body Count, which released the song, "Cop Killer," which amounted to an onslaught of controversy.

He and his wife, Coco Austin had their own reality show, Ice Loves Coco from 2011 to 2013, along with a short-lived talk show.

Nowadays, Ice-T plays Detective Odafin Tutuola on the hit police drama, Law and Order SVU.

2. Hanson

The beloved boy band had teenage girls hearts' swooning for most of the 90s. The brothers have sold 16 million albums worldwide, and have had eight top 40 albums and six top 40 singles in the U.S.

While they hadn't had as much critical acclaim as other musicians on the list, the band came back into the limelight when they announced in March 2017 they would have a 25th anniversary tour. They also released a second Christmas album called Finally It's Christmas in late October.

3. Madonna

I Miss The Old School / Us Weekly

Madonna, or the "Queen of Pop," has steadily been in the spotlight since she graced our presence in 1979. The best-selling artist has dominated both the charts and plenty of celebrity gossip magazines.

At 59, the entertainer has had an extensive list of tabloid covers, ranging from a custody battle over her son, Rocco, with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, to her slew of significantly younger boyfriends.

In terms of her next projects, she's set to play the leading role in an adaptation of Andrew Sean Greer's novel, The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells.

4. Marilyn Manson

Youtube / Music Blend Online

Born Brian Hugh Warner, Marilyn Manson found inspiration for his stage name by merging the names Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson together. The eccentric star is an honorary priest at the Church of Satan, and has appeared in several TV shows, including Once Upon A Time and Sons of Anarchy.

While he hasn't won any Grammy Awards (despite his four nominations), don't be surprised when the talented artist eventually takes one home.

5. Salt-N-Pepa

Everett Collection / Tory Burch

Salt-N-Pepa is a Grammy Award-winning trio who was one of the first all-female rap groups. With hits like "Shoop" and "Push It," it was nearly impossible not to fall in love with this band.

After dismantling in 2002, the group reunited in 2007, and came out with their latest album, Icon, in 2011.

Most recently, Salt-N-Pepa was part of the "I Love The 90's" tour, which occurred earlier this year.

6. Backstreet Boys

Time / Just Jared

Serious question: was there a single soul on earth who didn't love the Backstreet Boys? The iconic boy band had several successful hits, including but not limited to: "As Long As You Love Me," "I Want It That Way," and "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely."

While the boys were on hiatus for a year, they got back together and even formed a partnership with The New Kids On The Block, forming NKOTBSB. The two bands went on tour together and even created a compilation album of their biggest hits.

They released their latest album in 2013, titled, In A World Like This.

7. Green Day

Amino Apps / University of Rock

One of the most famous bands from the early punk rock scene, Green Day has been together since 1986, and has been creating hit albums ever since.

Despite claims of Green Day's commercial success alienating the group's status as a punk rock band, lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong said the band will also be kept in the status quo.

"Sometimes I think we've become totally redundant because we're this big band now; we've made a lot of money - we're not punk rock any more. But then I think about it and just say, 'You can take us out of a punk rock environment, but you can't take the punk rock out of us," Lead singer, Armstrong said.

In 2015 the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Fall Out Boy. A year later, they released their latest album, Revolution Radio.

8. Mariah Carey

Pintrest / Yahoo

Mariah Carey has been on top of the world since she first appeared in the spotlight in 1988. The songstress has had numerous hit singles, along with the most successful Christmas album of all time, Merry Christmas. She's constantly in the tabloids for all her antics, which the public seems unable to get enough of.

The mother of two has recently appeared in her own docuseries, Mariah's World, which revolved around her The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour around Europe, and her plans to get married to (her now ex-fiance) James Packer.

9. Eminem

Esquire / The Associated Press

One of the best-selling rappers of all time, Eminem has dominated the music scene for as long as we can remember. With his alter ego, Slim Shady, the rapper has won 15 Grammy Awards and doesn't plan on slowing down anytime soon.

He plans on releasing his ninth studio album, Revival on Dec. 15, and there's no doubt it'll feature some more iconic hits.

10. No Doubt

NME / CBS Radio

No Doubt was a famous rock band that formed in 1994, and skyrocketed lead singer Gwen Stefani into international fame.

While the band released an album in 2012, it was announced the group went into another hiatus in 2013. In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2016, Stefani was uncertain over the future of the band due to their album's lack of recognition.

"I don't know what's going to happen with No Doubt. When Tony and I are connected creatively, it's magic. But I think we've grown apart as far as what kind of music we want to make," Stefani said. I was really drained and burned out when we recorded that album. And I had a lot of guilt: 'I have to do it.' That's not the right setting to make music. There's some really great writing on that record. But the production felt really conflicted. It was sad how we all waited that long to put something out and it didn't get heard."
