Mario Lopez & Tiffani Thiessen Reunite, Reveal What Their Kids Think About Their Iconic Show

I think we can all agree that Saved By The Bell is one of the most iconic shows of the 90s. Watching Zack Morris and friends navigate through their time at Bayside High was so formative for so many of us.

Although, while we found ourselves completely addicted to to the show, the actors who actually played the characters had an even deeper connection.

Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen recently appeared together on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. If you watch the show even once, you know that Mario Lopez played A.C. Slater, and Tiffani Thiessen was the one and only Kelly Kapowski.

Lopez and Thiessen took time to reminisce about the show, and were both a little surprised by the fact that it has been 30 years since it started.

“Oh my God, I can’t believe I’m that old," Lopez said. "I thought it was 20 years but it’s been 30 years since Saved by the Bell!”

Thiessen's answer didn't really make him feel much better though. "We are old, we are really old."

They then began discussing what it was like to introduce the show to their children. And apparently even though we all thought they were the coolest, Lopez's kids do not agree.

“My kids have given it a shot and [they’re] not feeling it,” he said, saying they had some questions for him like, “Daddy why is your hair like that?”

As for Thiessen, she has shown her eight-year-old daughter the first season, but quickly put an end to their re-watch.

“Harper started watching it a tiny, tiny bit. I was okay with season one but after that kissing started happening and I was like, ‘No, no, no we’re done,’ ” Thiessen said. She said that in a “few more years” her daughter can watch more, but for now Thiessen thinks she's too young.

There's a good reason why Thiessen is hesitant though, she's worried about how "boy crazy" her daughter already seems to be.

“Harper was into it [because] she was so into [Lopez] and Mark-Paul [Gosselaar],” she said. “She’s so boy crazy already, I’m in trouble.”

The two former co-stars have remained friends over the years, and often see each other at premiers with their kids who are roughly the same age. Lopez has an eight-year-old daughter and a five-year-old son, while Thiessen has her eight-year old-daughter and a three-year-old son.

It's so nice that these long-time friends can head into the next phase of their lives at the same time, and continue to share that close bond!
