Dick Van Dyke Returning To 'Mary Poppins' Revival

This is the best Christmas gift I could have asked for.

Legendary Dick Van Dyke confirmed he will be returning to his singing and dancing shoes for the new Mary Poppins revival!

The movie isn't set to come out until Christmas Day 2018, but it's already got an incredible star-studded cast. Emily Blunt will be playing Mary Poppins, and will be joined by Meryl Streep, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Angela Lansbury and Colin Firth.

Now, it's not going to be a total remake so don't get too worried. The movie is called Mary Poppins Returns and will take place 30 years in the future. There's not a whole lot of information surrounding the plot line yet, but it doesn't matter because DICK VAN DYKE WILL BE IN IT!

"Well, I've got to be a part of it," Van Dyke said. "I think I'll just have the one scene, and a little song and dance in it."

He'll be playing the son of the elderly banker he portrayed in the original film, except this time he won't need hours of makeup.

"This time there's no four hours in the makeup chair," Van Dyke said. "I grew into the part. I don't have to wear makeup at all."

Filming starts in London in spring of 2017 and I cannot even contain my excitement.
