The Cast Of "A Little Princess" Are All Grown Up, But Where Have They Gone Since Leaving NYC?

Twenty-two years ago, Alfonso Cuaron and Mark Johnson gave us one of the best movies of our childhood, A Little Princess. Even today, re-watching the film instantly brings back a ton of nostalgia, and makes us feel like kids again.

Based on the novel of the same name, the 1995 film follows a a young girl named Sara trying to adjust to her new life in a New York City boarding school after receiving news that her father had died while fighting in the First World War.

The movie taught us some life lessons and delivered a strong message that all girls, regardless of status and wealth, can be princesses.

After all these years, we can't help but wonder what happened to the actors who brought our favorite characters to life. So let's see what they've been up to since 1995.

Eleanor Bron - Miss Minchin

Bron was already a seasoned actress before taking on the role of the headmistress in the film. She appeared in a handful of movies after A Little Princess, and published several books. If you're ever in The Great Britain, pay attention to the error message voice on your phone, it's Bron's.

Vanessa Chester - Becky

After starring in A Little Princess, Chester was cast as Kelly in a lead role in The Lost World: Jurassic Park as well as Harriet The Spy. She also appeared in Malcolm in the Middle, Veronica Mars, How I Met Your Mother, and more recently in a web series titled City Girl.

Camilla Belle - Jane

Jane was Camilla Belle's first film role. Although she only played a small part, she ended up starring in subsequent projects including The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Rip Girls, a Disney Channel Original Movie.

DeLoach got her first break as the Bee Girl in the 1982 music video for Blind Melon's hit single "No Rain." She also appeared in "Weird Al" Yankovic's video for "Bedrock Anthem," before portraying Ermengarde. DeLoach was only able to book a few more acting gigs before jobs dried up. She now runs her own California-based business, Sweet Bee Candy Stations and Event Planning.

Kelsey Mulroney - Lottie

After playing the tantrum-throwing little diva at Miss Minchin's School for Girls, Mulroney only managed to score a few more roles. She hasn't had acting roles since growing up, and according to her Facebook page, she appeared to have been working as a bartender.

But what has Sara and the captain been up to since?

Errol Sitahal - Ram Dass

Hello Giggles

Next to A Little Princess, Sitahal is best known for his roles in the Harold &  Kumar films. He's also done some stage acting, and now often speaks at workshops about his experience.

Unfortunately, we don't know what happened to his monkey.

Rusty Schwimmer - Amelia Minchin

She appeared in movies like Twister, The Perfect Storm, Runaway Jury, and The Sessions. She had a recurring role on the CBS drama The Guardian, and guest starred in popular TV series, including Gilmore Girls, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Criminal Minds, and Grey's Anatomy.

Liesel Matthews - Sara Crewe

Zimbio

First of all, Liesel Matthews is the stage name for the former child actress and heiress to the Hyatt Hotel fortune Liesel Pritzker. Following her success in A Little Princess, she took on roles in Air Force One (1997) and Blast (2000) before giving up acting. Matthews now runs her own investment fund called Blue Haven Initiative.

Liam Cunningham  - Captain Crewe

A Little Princess was one of Cunninghma's earliest roles after giving up his day job as an electrician. The Irish actor has since gone on to star in a ton of movie and TV shows, including Clash of the Titans, War Horse, and the ever so popular Game of Thrones.

Oh, and in case you didn't realize, he also played Prince Rama at the beginning of the movie.

Do you remember watching A Little Princess back in the day?
