Hootie And The Blowfish Are Making A Comeback In A Huge Way

Twitter - Hootie and the Blowfish

Hootie and the Blowfish are one of those bands that helped define the 90s. You couldn't go more than two hours without hearing one of their songs after they hit it big.

But as is the case with most bands, Hootie and the Blowfish decided to take a break. In 2008, their lead singer Darius Rucker went solo, and became successful on his own.

The only time the band has reunited was for Jason Aldean's High Noon Neon Tour when he was in Atlanta, but now they've decided to return in a major way.

Not only will Hootie and the Blowfish be returning to the stage, performing all of their classic hits, they also will be releasing a new album.

It has been 15 years since their last tour (aside from that one show) and now we've got a new album to go with this exciting news!

They haven't revealed exactly when the new album will come out, but you can sign up for their mailing list to get access to their presale for their Group Therapy tour which starts in May 2019.

The Barenaked Ladies will be joining them on their tour, making it the ultimate 90s night for any of you nostalgia fans out there.

The band appeared on the Today Show to reveal the exciting news, which included the dates for their international tour. You can check out their website to see when they will be in a city near you, but given that they have over 40 dates, I'm sure you can find something in your area.

The reunion news is pretty great, as I think a lot of us can agree that 2018 has been a bit rough. While we've all struggled, at least we have some good ol' 90s hits to look forward to!
