Dare You To Read This And Not Miss Zoboomafoo

PBS

Zoboomafoo was one of those shows that not everyone remembers, but those who do absolutely LOVE it.

PBS

The Kratt brothers would take us on interesting trips all over the place and teach about super cool animals. And of course they were always visited by their good buddy Zoboomafoo.

PBS

Zoboomafoo was an awesome lemur who would hop into the "Animal Junction" and would turn into a puppet after being fed some fruit. Then he could talk and interact with the Kratt brothers and tell us all about his time in the Zobooland.

The Kratt brothers weren't just actors, Martin has a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology and Chris has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology.

The show was great, and if you watched it these pictures will bring you right back to those great days of your childhood.

The opening credits were excellent

You of course had your favorite brother, either Martin:

Or Chris:

No matter which brother you liked best, you know the real star of the show was Zoboomafoo

He would start as the cutest lemur ever

And then turn into a goofy puppet who told the greatest jokes

He would tell us stories about Zobooland

PBS

And you would kind of wish the Zoboomfooasaurus was real

What ever happened to the Kratt brothers? Click to the next page to find out.

The Kratt brothers were absolute treasures and their background in biology and zoology gave them a level of authority that managed to come across even though they were being big goofballs on TV.

But where did they go after Zoboomafoo ended?

They are actually still making educational television shows! The Kratts brothers starts a new animated series called Wild Kratts.

PBS

The plot of the show s that The Kratts have to save animals from villains, human interference, or sometimes just confusion.

PBS

They have a whole group of characters in the show including the Kratt brothers to solve the situations and teach kids about animals.

PBS

I feel like one of the best things about this is that they are still rocking the colors from the original show. Currently they are based in Ottawa and continue to work with animals.

Unfortunately Jovian, the lemur who played Zoboomafoo, passed away a couple years ago. At least he got to help teach kids all about lemurs in his time. He was 20 years old.

Do you miss watching Zoboomafoo? Did you realize the Kratt brothers still had a show on TV?

Donny and Marie Osmond were the siblings that we all longed to be like. Why couldn't we get along with our brothers and sisters like they did? What was it about this singing and dancing family that just seemed weirdly delightful?  The show only ran for three years, but in that time, they managed to gain an enormous audience.
