It Has Been 19 Years Since Ally McBeal First Aired - Where Are They Now?

Some shows stand out when you think back to what you watched back in the 90s, and Ally McBeal was definitely one of the shows I remember quite well. It was a show my mom watched every week without fail, always laughing at the ridiculous nonsense that worked its way in.

Check out where the cast is now, 19 years after the show premiered.

Calista Flockhart - Ally McBeal

Calista Flockhart's goofy portrayal gave this lawyer show a little more life than others. The show had ridiculous moments in it, but she always committed fully. She even won a Golden Globe for this role. She is currently appearing in the series Supergirl.

Greg Germann - Richard Fish

       Giphy

One of only three actors in this show to appear in all 112 episodes, Greg Germann continues acting, most recently in Once Upon a Time as Hades.

Jane Krakowski - Elaine Vassal

       Giphy

Jane Krakowski is a treasure and you could not convince me otherwise. She was the other actor to appear in every episode alone with Calista and Greg, as Elaine Vassal. She went on to appear as Jenna Maroney in the incredibly successful 30 Rock, and as Jacqueline White in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She also has done quite a bit of Broadway!

Peter MacNicol - John Cage

       Giphy

The biggest thing I remember about John Cage was how he always dances to Barry White songs. It's how he gets his confidence as a lawyer. Pretty solid technique if you ask me. Peter MacNicol most recently appeared on Veep.

Lisa Nicole Carson - Renee Radick

Lisa Nicole Carson took a break from acting after the end of Ally McBeal due to a struggle with Bipolar Disorder. She has come back to Hollywood after 11 years, reprising her role as Renee Raddick on Harry's Law.

Portia de Rossi - Nellie Porter

       Giphy

Nellie Porter came on the show in season two and became John Cage's girlfriend. She is also very good friends with the character Ling Woo, played by Lucy Liu. Portia de Rossi was part of the show Arrested Development for many years and currently appears on Scandal.

Lucy Liu - Ling Woo

Lucy Liu is a mega-super-star, and her character on Ally McBeal was pretty hilarious. She would often have the Wicked Witch of The West's music playing when she walked around and it suited her well. Lucy Liu is currently playing Dr. Joan Watson in the show Elementary.

Courtney Thorne-Smith - Georgia Thomas

       Giphy

Georgia Thomas was on the show for the entire series. Courtney Thorne-Smith has played some other notable characters on TV including Cheryl in According to Jim for 8 years, and Lyndsery on Two and a Half Men for 5 years.

Gil Bellows- Billy Thomas

Gil Bellows has continued to do a lot of TV shows and also a few movies.

Robert Downey Jr. - Larry Paul

       Giphy

Snarky and witty lawyer, Larry Paul ends up in a relationship with Ally, after joining the series in the last few seasons. Obviously Robert Downey Jr. has become an enormous, huge, mega-star as Tony Stark in the Marvel movies.

Hayden Panettiere - Maddie Harrington

Hayden Panettiere went on to star in TV shoes like Heroes and now is in Nashville.

Who was your favorite character in this show? Can you believe it's been 19 years since it first aired?

The True Story Behind "The Sound of Music" Is Even Better Than Whiskers On Kittens

When Julie Andrews brought the sound of music down from the mountains and into our hearts, she brought with it a love for the real-life von Trapp family, who the story was based on. The movie follows the autobiography of the real Maria von Trapp, who was a nun that became a part of an Austrian family before the Nazi occupation in World War II. The film accurately portrays a lot about their lives and demeanor, but in Maria's published memoirs (that the film was based on) it is easy to see how much becomes simple Hollywood figment. Here are

10 Foods From Our Childhood We're Surprised Haven't Been Banned By Now

Growing up, we were exposed to a lot of foods we probably shouldn't have been. We didn't necessarily have any of this "all natural organic free range sung to sleep by angels" food that people eat now. We ate what was given to us and didn't worry about the consequences. That being said, there were some pretty questionable foods from back then that are still eaten today, and we're not quite sure why. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying these foods should go away, I'm just saying I'm surprised they haven't. 1. SPAMEaterAs a general rule of thumbs, I

6 Movies That Caused A Lot Of Trouble When They Were Released

Movies are supposed to entertain you. They are also supposed to elicit an emotional reaction out of you, whether it be: happiness, sadness, fear, joy, anger, contempt or any number of others. That's the great thing about movies and television, you can essentially do whatever you want because you are just telling stories, that is unless you do something that gets the masses up in arms over what you have created. Some movies are hit the big screen to such controversy that they actually inspired protests. Some were even banned in certain countries because they were deemed to be far

1994 Best Buy Flyer Reminds Us Of Simple, Yet Terrifying Times

Before the internet was super available, we had flyers (or paper inserts). We waited for that blessed Sunday paper when we could see all the upcoming deals. And when it was Christmas time? Look out. Those bad boys were getting cut out and glued to another sheet of paper, then promptly mailed off to Santa. Even though it doesn't seem like that long ago, the technology in 1994 was...less than ideal. What we thought was groundbreaking now seems like the stone age. This paper insert from Best Buy is no different. It's from the week of October 23, 1994,
