The Spice Girls are one of the all time best girl bands. That is not up for debate. They are strong role models for a lot of 90s kids who listened to their music and their interviews. They were always pretty awesome at telling people to be who they are and were vocal about feminism.

She actually started as an actress in 1992, but when she received a call from Victoria Beckham inviting her to replace Michelle Stephenson as the fifth Spice Girl, she switched gears.
