Have Mercy! Full House Celebrates 29th Anniversary

Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paper boy - even MTV?!

It's hard to believe that Full House entered our lives 29 years ago. We've all watched as Michelle, Stephanie and DJ Tanner grew into young women. We laughed and cried with them as they navigated the world with the help of their main men - dad, Danny, and uncles Joey and Jesse.

As the 90's rolled on, the family grew with the addition of Becky and later, the exciting birth of the twins - Nicky and Alex.

It was a departure from the typical family unit - exploring what it might be like for single "dads" to raise girls and we all loved it! There was something totally special about the bond between these men and their girls that spoke to the daughter in all of us.

Check out this flashback to the days when everywhere you looked, there was a place, and somebody who needed you.

The first episode aired on September 22, 1987

Look how young they were!

DJ was the oldest daughter  - whatever she did, the other two were quick to follow!

       Giphy

She knew how to talk her way out of trouble...

       Giphy

She usually walked in on her younger sisters getting into mischief...

She always did her best to help them out of it

Although she did have a pretty sweet romance with Steve,

       Giphy

She was always true to herself

Stephanie was the middle sister -

       Giphy

She had a signature phrase that we ALL said...

       Giphy

And she was the queen of come-backs, especially with Kimmie Gibbler

       Giphy

       Giphy

Michelle was the baby

       Giphy

She was unbearably adorable,

       Giphy

She always had her priorities straight,

       Giphy

And she could be sassy sometimes, which we loved -

       Giphy

       Giphy

The sarcasm was strong with this one.

       Giphy

We've grown up with these girls...

And, although "Michelle" is busy running her fashion empire in New York,

29 years later, Steph, DJ and Kimmie are raising their own kids in an even Fuller house!

Some things never change!
