20 Songs That Gave Us Life When We Were Kids But Are Now Forgotten

Speakers' Corner/The Hits

There really is no other way to put this, if you remember these songs you are definitely getting closer to 30+, than you are to 21. There are songs on this list that we wish we could forget, and the younger generation should be glad that they never had to live through a time where these were blasting on car radios. But some of these hits bring back memories of simpler times, handing out with our friends, doing things we enjoyed before we had to start "adulting".

1. Strong Enough - Cher

Cher has been around forever. This isn't one of her greatest works, but it still made its rounds on the radio waves.

2. Give Me Just One Night - 98 Degrees

Well this did epitomize the era of the "boy band". 98 Degrees never made it to the level of The Backstreet Boys or N'Sync, but they still had their moments.

3. Shadow - Ashlee Simpson

Before her memorable lip sync debacle, Ashlee Simpson was growing in popularity, looking to quickly surpass her sister. But we haven't heard anything from her in quite a long time.

4. Smile - Vitamin C

Vitamin C was a flash in the pan. Between this song and the Graduation Song, she rocked the radio waves (and school auditoriums) for the better part of two years.

5. Bare Naked - Jennifer Lover Hewitt

I completely forgot that Jennifer Love Hewitt even attempted a music career. Bare Naked actually gained some traction on the radio waves.

6. Look At Me - Geri Halliwell

Geri Halliwell attempted to make a run at a solo career after the Spice Girls dropped out of sight. This is one of those songs that you wouldn't know exited if you were born post 1996.

7. Christina Aguilera - Genie In A Bottle

This was Christina's breakthrough hit, and if you are under 21 you have likely heard it, even if you are unaware of its roots. I feel like this was the only song that I knew her for.

8. My Love Is Like... Wo - Mya

This was a sick jam even back in the day. It still holds up to this day. If you don't know this song, it's time to get acquainted with it.

9. In My Pocket - Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore was killing it back in the day. She was a hugely talented singer, but if you weren't in high school in 2001-2005, you have never heard this song before.

10. Get Over Yourself (Goodbye) - Eden's Crush

Hell, I was 21 nearly a decade a go and I can't even remember ever hearing this song before. It fits perfectly in with the music of the time period, and it was the launching point of Nicole Scherzinger from The Pussycat Dolls.

11. Irresistible - Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson has pretty much disappeared off the face of the music/entertainment scene these last five years. If you have never heard this song before, I don't blame ya.

12. Where My Girls At - 702

Bordering on 1-hit-wonders, 702 released this song back in the day and it was wildly popular. You can actually still catch it on some hit radio stations during throwback segments.

13. AM to PM - Christina Milian

Even back in the day this song wasn't the hottest thing out there, but Christina Milian knew how to perform, and she was a talented vocalist.

14. Players Gon' Play - 3LW

This "summer jam" was hugely popular and you could hear it blasting out of most clubs and beach parties.

15. Upside Down Bouncing Off The Ceiling - A*Teens

Even if you have heard this song before, you usually wish that you hadn't. Music was going in a strange direction in the late 90s and early 00s.

16. Baby Come On Over - Samantha Mumba

This song actually debuted on the Disney Channel.

17. I Wanna Be Bad - Willa Ford

In the era of Brittney and Christina, Willa Ford was pushed somewhat to the side. Though I did hear this song on the radio the other day out of the blue.

18. This Is Me - Dream

19. Nobody Wants To Be Lonely - Ricky Martin & Christina Aguilera

Two of the most popular signers of their era came together to record this song. I hadn't heard this in years prior to writing this piece. How long has it been for you?

20. Don't Say You Love Me - M2M

Have any of these songs brought back memories of years gone by?

What Kind Of Excellent Adventure Has Alex Winter Been On Since We Saw Him Last?

After starring in a few of the biggest movies of the the late 80s and early 90s, Alex Winter seemed to vanish from the big screen. The Lost Boys came out in 1987, and it was absolutely amazing. 8 Movie Sequels You Probably Didn't Even Know Existed

Sometimes sequels are highly anticipated (you know which ones you like), and sometimes sequels happen for no reason, and you never end up hearing about them until you magically find a $2 copy of one in the bargain bin at your local discount store. These unknown sequels are almost universally always terrible. Movies so bad it makes you wonder who even thought this was a good idea, and then decided to pay people to make the movies. Mind-boggling. Not all of them are terrible, but the good ones are few and far between. Let's take a look at 8 sequels
