Sabrina The Teenage Witch Might Be Coming Back To TV!

Everyone was pretty intrigued when they announced the Riverdale series with Archie and the gang coming to the CW. Now another classic character from the Archie comics is potentially coming back to TV! Sabrina!

Not a lot of people seem to remember that Sabrina the teenage witch is actually from the same series. Sabrina often crosses over into the Archie comics, while also appearing in her own separate adventures. A lot of 90s kids will remember her primarily as Melissa Joan Hart in the amazing series that started twenty years ago.

Riverdale hasn't even started yet, but they have high hopes for the series. It's going in a darker direction than the comics do, and apparently that's what they have in mind for the Sabrina reboot as well.

"We've talked about Sabrina being a bit darker, more like 'Rosemary's Baby.' It's not going to be the half-hour sitcom with Melissa Joan Hart" - Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (executive producer of Riverdale)

Chances are they would start by introducing Sabrina as a character in Riverdale, like the CW did with The Flash appearing on Arrow, but the change in tone might be a bit of a shock to some. I mean, the darkest thing to happen on Sabrina was that time she turned Libby into a pineapple.

What do you think of the potential? Obviously Riverdale will have to do pretty well before they could justify launching the Sabrina reboot. Do you think Melissa Joan Hart would want to come back? Maybe she could play one of the aunts or a teacher or something. I wonder if Salem would still get to be sassy? Will Martin Mull come back? So many questions!
