We Haven't Seen The Ingalls Family In 35 Years, Here's What The Cast Of "Little House On The Prairie" Look Like Now

Little House on the Prairie ran for 9 seasons and had an enormous fan base. The show reminded us all of a simpler time, but also had such an awesome family that we all became incredibly attached to.

The show was on between 1974 and 1983, and even though it has been off the air for almost 35 years, people still remember the Ingalls family fondly. What have they all been up to since the show ended?

Alison Arngrim - Nellie Oleson

Arngrim took a long break from acting shortly after Little House on the Prairie ended. She didn't act on screen between 1986 and 2000, but has started appearing in more projects. She knows that she will always be known as Nellie, but it perfectly okay with that. She even wrote a memoir called Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated.

Jonathan Gilbert - Willie Oleson

A lot of people may not realize this, but Willie Oleson is actually Laura Ingalls brother in real life! Jonathan Gilbert is Melissa Gilbert's brother and they were able to work on the show together. He didn't act after completing all of the Little House episodes and became a stock broker.

Dean Butler - Almanzo James Wilder

After Little House ended, he went on to act in a few more shows, but has since moved to a behind the camera position as a producer on the show Feherty.

Melissa Sue Anderson - Mary Ingalls

After the series ended, she continued acting for a little while, but eventually decided to take a step out of the public eye to focus on raising her children. She moved to Canada with her husband and actually wrote a book called The Way I See It: A Look Back at My Life.

Sidney and Rachel Lindsay Greenbush - Carrie Ingalls

These girls played the young Carrie Ingalls together, but neither continued acting after for very long after the show ended. Rachel now takes part in amateur boxing and works with children's groups. Rachel actually ended up marrying a man she had met on the set of Little House thirty years after they originally.

Sidney Greenbush took a different route in life after leaving acting behind. She decided to go into the rodeo circuit and competes in barrel racing. She also works as a sales system administrator when she isn't riding.

Karen Grassle - Caroline Ingalls

Karen Grassle took a long break between her acting gigs. She was on Murder She Wrote back in 1988, but then didn't act again on screen until 1994. She then took another break after that until 2012. She instead focused on her theater career and returned to Broadway.

Michael Landon - Charles Ingalls

Sadly, Michael Landon passed away from cancer in 1991. But before he did he was also on another long lasting TV show called Highway to Heaven for five years between 1984-1989.

Laura Ingalls Wilder - Melissa Gilbert

Melissa Gilbert been working steadily since the end of Little House on the Prairie. She was recently in the show Secrets and Lies, she has done a whole bunch of TV Movies, and she also voiced Batgirl in Batman: The Animated Series. She actually returned to the the Prairies when she joined the cast of Little House on the Prairie: The Musical, this time in the role of "Ma".
