Things to Learn From the Life of Ant-Man

Photo by Crystal Jo on Unsplash

The first Ant-Man and scientist Hank Pym started the Ant-Man project for S.H.I.E.L.D. He resigned in the year 1989 when he discovered that S.H.I.E.L.D. is trying to replicate his Ant-Man shrinking technology. He believed that his technology is going to be a threat to mankind if it gets replicated. Pym vows to hide his technology for as long as he is alive.

In the current times, Hank leaves his company, Pym Technologies as it is taken over by his daughter named Hope and former protégé, Darren Cross. Darren recreated the shrinking suit and created the “Yellowjacket” as a new variant.

Worried about Darren's motives, Pym takes the help of Scott Lang and his accomplices to steal his suit and become the next Ant-Man. Moving further he wanted Scott to steal the Yellowjacket suit from Darren. After a struggle, the suit and Darren were destroyed. There are so many lessons to learn from the life of Ant-Man.

You can watch Ant-Man and other movies from the MCU using Xfinity TV. To get Xfinity TV for your home, you can use Xfinity Customer Support to order their services or to get information easily. For now, let’s have a look at a few things that you can learn from The Ant-Man:

You Can Do Great Things No Matter How Small You Are

A great act of kindness can come from anyone. You can be of great help no matter how small or big you are. The Ant-Man can shrink to the size of an ant using an Ant-Man suit. Scott used the same suit to break out of jail and steal the Yellowjacket suit. Likewise, he grew into a giant-sized being during the battle of Endgame against Thanos, and other supervillains.

He also shrunk during the battle in Captain America: Civil War and got into the Iron Man suit. This way, he managed to disable a lot of Tony’s weapons and defenses easily.

Sometimes it does not matter how high or low your position is in your organization. With a will to take initiative, you can still influence others and make a difference that can help others.

Utilize Your Resources and Manage Your Team Effectively

In the Ant-Man movie, Hank Pym and Scott Lang knew the potential of the people they work with and they knew ways to use the resources they have at hand. For instance, when Scott found out that Hank has an unbreakable vault in his home, he did not give up. He used his knowledge and the resources he found in Hank's home and broke into the vault. Likewise, Hank Pym tested Scott Lang and then trained him to be the next Ant-Man.

In an organization, you can achieve a lot once you have the right resources and talent to get things done. If you are a manager, you should always invest in your employees and refine their talents. This approach will let you earn more profits and achieve your goals.

Use Technology for the Good of Mankind

Darren wanted to replicate the Ant-Man technology created by Hank Pym and sell it to terrorists and Hydra agents. In the opening scene of the movie, Hank Pym argued with Howard Stark about Pym Particles being replicated by S.H.I.E.L.D. According to Pym, this technology can bring a lot of destruction to the world.

So, it was better not to replicate his technology. Hank Pym created this technology to infiltrate Hydra bases and destroy their weapons. His concerns turned out to be true when Darren created the Yellowjacket and sold the tech to Hydra agents for twice the price.

Technology should benefit humanity and make our lives better. In the current era, many apps, gadgets, and software can help people become productive. However, at the same time, using apps and gadgets can spoil your health and become a distraction as well.

Second Chances Exist; Use Them Wisely

Everybody gets a second chance in life to make things right for themselves and their family. These chances come in different forms. Therefore, it is wise to look around for these moments in life and reconcile with people who you think are worthy of getting back into your life. However, you need to remember that not everybody deserves a second chance – so, make your decisions wisely. Besides this, you can use the second chance that life has given you to improve a bad habit.

In the movie, Hank Pym granted a second chance to Scott so that he can use his ability to fight for using his skills of sabotage and espionage for the good of mankind. He also got a chance to prove to his daughter that he is her superhero and more than a convict.

Conclusion

In the end, one can say that the ways of the Ant-Man can be applied in the real life. Scott and Hank both had daughters who had faith in their fathers. This is one of the reasons that they struggled relentlessly in life to protect the people against villains. Apart from that, Hank mentored Scott to become a better person who can revive hope in people whenever the time calls for it.
