Nokes makes life a living Hell for a group of kids sentenced for a prank gone wrong, and torments them so utterly that years later, they return as men to seek their revenge. Bacon is completely and utterly terrifying in the role, and it holds up well to this day.

4) Tremors (1990)

While Bacon initially felt the film was a career low for him, Tremors has gone on to become a cult classic that more than tripled its box-office gross with sales and rentals. It's even bringing him back for a SyFy Channel remake!

Bacon is both hilarious and awesome as Valentine "Val" McKee, a part-time laborer who has to help defend the town of Perfection against mysterious giant worm monsters that attack from underground. It may be cheesy and low-budget, but it's a great performance in a massively enjoyable movie.

5) Friday the 13th (1980)

Paramount Pictures

One of Bacon's earliest roles, his performance as Jack not only launched his career to wider audiences, but also helped launch one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time.

His performance is solid, but what we all remember is him dying from an arrow through his chest. It's the stuff of horror legends!
