There's A New Rocko's Modern Life Movie And We Aren't Sure How To Feel About It

Rocko's Modern Life was one of the best shows of the 90s. It was goofy enough for kids to enjoy, while also hiding some SUPER inappropriate jokes for the grownups watching with their kids.

Well, apparently the world of reboots and remakes does not ever stop, because it's been announced that the popular 90s cartoon will be coming back!

It's part of the Nickelodeon's 90s revival that seems to be going on. They are also releasing a Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie and a new Hey Arnold movie. Rocko will be coming back for a one-hour TV special in 2018 and the title is Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling.

The special is a continuation of the series, picking up after the series finale "Future Shlock". If you can't remember what happened, Rocko, Heffer and Filbert all got shot into space. The plot of the special follows all your favorite characters as they return to Earth and try to figure out how to live with all the changes that have happened since they left.

“Heffer and Filburt embrace every aspect of new technology, social media and the endless diversity of food trucks, [while] Rocko whole-heartedly believes his nostalgia for the past can save him from the tortures of the modern world.”

So essentially the network is making a 90s cartoon where the main character is nostalgic for the 90s.

When you first thought about a new Rocko's Modern Life movie you probably were worried that it was going to be too different from the original right? Well you would be wrong!

Not only are all your favorite characters back, but so are the actors who voiced them!

That's right, Carlos Alazraqui will be back to voice Rocko, Tom Kenny (aka the voice of SpongeBob Squarepants) will reprise his role as Heffer, Mr. Lawrence as Filburt, Charlie Adler as Ed Bighead, Linda Wallem as Aunt Gretchen and Dr. Hutchinson, Jill Talley as Nosey and Joe Murrasy as Ralph.

With the entire cast reuniting maybe it will do the original justice? What do you think?
