Netflix Is Bringing Back Another 90s Classic!

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? Well, turns out she will be once again in all of our homes. Fans of the popular 90s animated series will remember the show fondly, whether for the amazing and stylish outfit she wore, or the wonderfully catchy theme song.

Netflix has resurrected the glorious show and ordered 20 episodes! According to the Tracking Board the show "aims to be as educational as it is entertaining, given the title character's globetrotting adventures." We also found out that our new Carmen Sandiego is going to be Gina Rodriguez!

Gina Rodriguez, star of Jane the Virgin, is set to voice the title character and is obviously excited, tweeting out her own confirmation of the rumors.

Finn Wolfhard from Stranger Things will co-star in the show as "The Player".

Each episode of the new animated series will be 22 minutes long and will be focusing on the origin story of Carmen Sandiego. Apparently they will be trying to give us some backstory on how she became the notable international thief we all know and love. The show is set to premiere in 2019.

Are you excited for Carmen Sandiego to come back? I hope they use one of the original theme songs! Which was your favorite, the cartoon or the game show?
