Cindy Crawford Recreated Her Iconic 1992 Super Bowl Ad And It's Making Us Feel Old

In today's edition of things that remind you of how old you are, is supermodel Cindy Crawford's Super Bowl XXVI ad from 1992.

The model was just 25-years-old when she starred in the memorable Pepsi commercial that is now considered a classic.

In the ad, Crawford, who was wearing a white tank top and jean shorts, pulls over at a gas station and steps out of a red sports car to buy a can of Pepsi. Nearby, there were two young boys watching as she made her way to the vending machine and takes a swig of the fizzy drink.

While the ad made it seem like the boys were admiring the gorgeous model, in the end, we learn that they were actually infatuated by the look of new "beautiful" Pepsi can.

Crawford later admitted that she "thought that was really clever."

It's been more than two decades since Crawford made people all over the nation fall in love with her and Pepsi (many girls dressed up as her for Halloween that year), and the model is back at it again.

With Super Bowl 52 around the corner, Crawford, now 51, has recreated the iconic commercial, but this time it features a very special guest.

The new commercial is part of Pepsi's "Generation" campaign, which aims to honor the brands 120-year history in popular culture. Considering the role Crawford played in the drink's success in the 90s, it was a no brainer to enlist her help again.

This time around, the commercial includes the model's 18-year-old son, Presley Walker Gerber, as well as footage from the late Michael Jackson's Pepsi commercial from back in the day.

In a phone interview, Crawford said that she didn't even have to think twice about filming the commercial, and that she's proud of her son for doing this with her.

"Just as a mother, we drove to work together that day and we shared the same trailer. And when he was doing his thing, I was just a proud mom watching from the sidelines, trying not to annoy him," she explained.

Take a look at this still from the commercial. It looks like she's once again stopping at a gas station for a Pepsi break.

This isn't the first time that Crawford has filmed a revamped version of the original ad. In 2002, she filmed a television spot for Diet Pepsi, in which she famously quips that "some things never change," after she caught another pair of young boys ogling from afar.

The new version of the ad will debut during the football game on February 4, and we're super excited to see it! Who knows, maybe it will one day become a classic too.
