8 Famous Celebrity Feuds That Ended Face To Face

Working with anybody in the same industry as you, you're guaranteed to rub some people the wrong way. It's just a simple fact that not everyone is going to like everyone else.

This is especially true in the entertainment industry, and in the case of these 8 feuds, things thankfully ended up being resolved peacefully, rather than with fists flying.

Madonna and Elton John

Houston Press

Two of the most famously over the top pop stars of all time were good friends for years, but apparently things came to a screeching halt after John said something "horrible" about her. However, in 2012, he ran into Madonna at a restaurant in Paris, at which point he apologized for his "big mouth," adding, "She was very gracious and accepted and we talked."

Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight

Hello Magazine

Angelina Jolie's relationship with her father was strained for years, beginning when his affair broke up his marriage to her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and culminating in her pushing him away in 2002 after he made public comments about her mental health. However, after her mother's death in 2007, the actress decided to rebuild her relationship with Voight, and he's now an active presence in her life.

Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor

ABC News

The two legends of Hollywood began (understandably) feuding when Reynolds's husband, Eddie Fisher (father of Carrie) left her to date Taylor. However, by the 1960s, the two had new husbands and different outlooks on things, and buried the hatchet, even going on to appear in movies together.

Jay-Z and Nas

Spin

The two indisputable titans of the New York rap and hip-hop scene were fiercely competitive, often taking shots at each other in their songs as they battled their way to the top of the charts. Ultimately, the two made up in 2005, when Nas joined Jay-Z onstage for a performance, and they've been on good terms ever since.

The feuds just get weirder from here...

Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth

The former 90210 co-stars had a famously tumultuous relationship both on-screen and off, with Garth even commenting that “There were times when we wanted to claw each other's eyes out." They have since made amends, and Garth has been nothing but supportive of Doherty while the latter has battled breast cancer.

Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano

CBS

Wow, apparently Doherty's been in a lot of feuds over the years. The Charmed co-stars feuded so much that it apparently prompted Doherty to leave the show in season 3. According to Milano though, the two have buried the hatchet, stating that: "What [happened] 15 years ago or however long ago that was, it's irrelevant."

Jay Leno and David Letterman

CBS

This feud began after Letterman, already a late night anchor at NBC, was passed up to take over The Tonight Show for Leno, prompting him to leave the network and begin what was called "the late-night wars." Upon leaving their respective shows though, things seem to have improved, and Letterman has referred to Leno as "the funniest guy I've ever known."

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

PopSugar

The defining reality TV BFFs became enemies after Richie apparently felt snubbed by Hilton's bigger media presence, and then hosted a party with a viewing of Paris's infamous sex tape. The two eventually made amends and went on to star in two more seasons of The Simple Life together.
